Restaurant & Other Questions

When can I check in? *Our check-in time is 3:00 p.m. EST.  If you would like to check in earlier, please call ahead for availability.  Early check-ins are dependant on housekeeping and occupancy and are not guaranteed. When is check-out? *Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. EST. Where do I check in? *Please check-in at our bar, located in the main restaurant building.  Our staff will be happy to help you. What is the best way to make a reservation?  Can I book online? *Please call us at 906-387-3559 for reservations and to check availability.  To book online, we do have a few rooms available through booking.com, though prices and availability may vary.  Calling us directly will give you most up-to-date information about our availability. Do I need a credit card for a reservation?  Can I pay cash for my stay? *We require a credit card to reserve rooms or lodges and to cover incidental costs.  No charges are made to your card until your arrival.  You are welcome to pay cash or use a different credit card when you arrive. Do you have a minimum length of stay for reservations? *Motel rooms can be rented daily.  Lodges must be booked by the week during the snowmobile season (Lodge 1 is booked Sunday to Sunday and Lodge 2 is Saturday to Saturday) and have a 3-night minimum the remainder of the year. Are you open year-round? *Yes!  Our motel and cabins are available year-round for your lodging needs.  Our restaurant serves every day as well, with the exception of Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.  If you are staying with us during one of these holidays, please note that we will not be offering housekeeping services or continental breakfast.  Please make arrangements for extra towels or other needs prior to the holiday.  If your plan is to check in for lodging on one of these days, please be sure to contact us prior to your arrival date for special instructions. How do I make group lodging reservations? *We will hold the rooms under one name for an agreed upon amount of time, wherein the individual group members will call to give us their specific information.  This keeps one person from your group from being financially responsible for the whole group, unless that is requested. How can I get an email confirmation of my reservation? *Please send us an email at lifeisgood@buckhornresort.com with the name on your reservation and the date and we will be happy to reply. How late can I check in? If you plan to arrive after 9:00pm, please give us a call on the day of your arrival so that we know you are indeed on your way.  We will tell you your room number and open the door for you.  Please complete your registration process first in the morning in the restaurant building. What is your cancellation policy? *Reservations cancelled within the 72-hour window of your scheduled stay, or a failure to notify the Buckhorn that a reservation will not be honored, may be charged the equivalent of a one-night stay. What if I choose to leave early? *In the event of an early departure, no cash or credit will be returned.  With extenuating circumstances, a credit voucher may be issued to put toward a future visit. What is your late check-out policy? *Late check-out requests can be made on the day of departure before 10:00am and are dependent on availablity and occupancy.  A check-out time of 3:00pm or later is subject to additional charges. Is there a continental breakfast? *A simple continental breakfast is provided for our Motel guests from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m.  It is located in the restaurant building off of our lobby and usually includes cereals, bagels, etc.  Continental breakfast is not included with lodge reservations, as there are full kitchens in each lodge.
